Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between you and DeepRit ("DeepRit", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the DeepRit website at deeprit.com and the DeepRit application at app.deeprit.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you're using DeepRit for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.
The Service
DeepRit is software for writing content with AI. You can create AI writers, add your own profile details and data, generate text and images, edit documents, and export your work. DeepRit is a software tool. It doesn't provide human writing, legal, medical, financial or other professional services.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You agree to give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use DeepRit, or anything it produces, to:
- Break any law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Create deepfakes or face swaps, imitate a real person's voice or likeness, or generate any image or other content of a real person without that person's explicit consent.
- Impersonate a person or organization, or mislead people about who created something.
- Create sexual content, content involving minors in any sexual or harmful way, hate, harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Create spam, scams, phishing, malware, fake reviews or disinformation.
- Present AI output as professional medical, legal, financial or investment advice, or use it to make automated decisions about people.
- Attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, get around its limits, or use it to build a competing AI model.
- Resell or give access to the Service without our written permission.
We may remove content, limit access, or suspend an account if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. DeepRit creates content for you to review and publish yourself. It doesn't post to social media or send messages for you.
Your content
Your content is what you put into the Service, such as your profile, documents and requests, together with the text and images the Service generates for you ("Output"). As between you and us, you keep your rights in your content, and to the extent we hold any rights in your Output, we assign them to you.
You give us permission to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending the relevant parts to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload.
AI output
AI can be wrong. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or similar to content created for others, and the law on owning AI-generated content varies by country. You're responsible for reviewing Output and for how you use it. Contracts and other legal documents are drafts and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before use. Signatures placed in DeepRit aren't certified electronic signatures.
Plans and payment
Some usage levels and team features require a paid plan. Current plans are on our Pricing page, and prices are shown before you buy.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle sells the product to you, takes your payment, charges and remits applicable tax, issues invoices, and handles refund and billing requests. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. If a price is going to change, we'll tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Your own AI key
Paid plans use an API key that you provide from a supported AI provider. You're responsible for getting that key, keeping it safe, following the provider's terms, and paying all of its charges. Those charges are billed by the provider. They aren't part of your DeepRit subscription, and we can't refund them. We use your key only to send your requests to that provider. If you think your key has been exposed, cancel it with the provider and replace it.
Limits
The free plan includes a limited amount of AI use, as shown on our Pricing page. Paid plans have no cap set by DeepRit on how much you write, but they do have the storage and team limits shown on that page, your provider's limits still apply, and we may apply short-term speed limits to keep the Service reliable and to prevent abuse. We may change limits on the free plan at any time.
Teams
The person who buys a paid plan is responsible for the team members they invite and for what those members do under the plan.
Changes to the Service
We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance, and you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of a prepaid period.
Ending your use
You can stop using DeepRit at any time, export your work, and delete your content from Settings. To close your account completely, email [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. We'll tell you unless we're prevented from doing so.
Third-party services
The Service relies on other companies, including the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Web research reads third-party sites, and we aren't responsible for what they contain.
Warranties
We work hard to keep DeepRit useful and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that aren't written in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of anything important. You can export a backup from Settings at any time.
Liability
As far as the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where DeepRit is established. Disputes will be handled by the courts of that place. If you're a consumer, you also keep any protections, and any right to bring a claim locally, that the law of your country gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect, by email or in the app. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using it and cancel.
